EXTECH/Exterior Technologies, Inc. was formed in 1975 as a subsidiary of Voegele Company, a family owned and operated roofing business in Pittsburgh, PA.
At its infancy, EXTECH was known as Industrial Air and Light, Inc. The company primarily made industrial windows, skylight systems, and products used in the contracting work done by parent company Voegele Co.
Two of the first products to hit the market were our industrial windows – one sliding window, and the other top-hinged. After receiving patents for both, we entered the world of fiberglass panels, creating daylighting systems for this panel type. As the years went on and technology advanced, we were introduced to the world of architectural polycarbonate panels and stopped manufacturing fiberglass panel systems.
Over the years, we went on to create over 20 unique systems serving a vast array of industries and applications. From porcelain panel systems and suspended ceiling panels to kinetic wall systems and custom facades, the innovative desire that inspired EXTECH’s creation lives on. We’ve partnered with the best in the industry, and we recognize the team every step of the way that made it all happen.
