Wood Street Pocket Park Project Details

These canopies were done using EXTECH's SKYSHADE 3100 standing seam canopy system. Miller Company Landscape Architects designed this pocket park to serve residential communities in the evolving Central Station neighborhood. Part of the objective of this park was to provide pedestrian connectivity and strong edge relationships among new and existing residential communities in the neighborhood. The park creates public social space on streets that once carried heavy industrial traffic through the neighborhood.
These canopies provide diffused light and UV protection to pedestrians sitting on the benches underneath. The 100% recyclability of the SKYSHADE 3100 system aligns with the municipality's commitment to green construction.
