Battery Park Storage Facility Project Details

This small storage facility is located along the West Side Highway in Manhattan, New York, adjoining Battery Park. EXTECH delivered the metal roofing for this structure as well as our LIGHTWALL system, comprised of 16mm standing seam translucent wall panels. Note that one portion of the translucent wall is curved - one of the benefits of polycarbonate is that it is flexible, and can be cold-formed to a radius. Due to its proximity to New York Harbor, the storage facility's facade had to deliver durability and high-impact resistance, both of which are benefits of cellular polycarbonate.
The multiple colors used here are all standard polycarbonate colors. Polycarbonate is available in a variety of translucencies and colors, and is 100% recyclable.
