SALES | COMMERCIAL BUILDING SYSTEMS

Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

 

EXTECH, A Pittsburgh based designer and manufacturer of commercial daylighting systems and facades, is seeking a salesperson.

Since 1975, EXTECH has developed more than 20 unique systems for a wide variety of applications. We believe that a collaborative and creative approach is vital to produce beautiful, functional, and healthy designs.

We work with architects and contractors to get our products specified on major construction projects. We have worked on many large-scale commercial projects nationwide.

The ideal applicant must have experience in commercial sales, glazing industry experience is preferred, and be willing to work from our facility in Pittsburgh.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and implement a sales strategy to ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
  • Identify industry needs and sales trends.
  • Effectively search for sales leads and opportunities.
  • Development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
  • Conduct cold calls to architects, engineers, and property owners.
  • Explaining product features and benefits to potential clients.
  • Make requested site visits to customers to assess their needs and requirements.
  • Maintain contact with existing clients to further develop relationships and to ensure on-going support after the sale.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics.
  • Provide timely feedback to company management regarding all areas which may impact the approval of a sales contract.

  • Maintain customer database.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Technical aptitude with ability to learn our product catalog and the technical aspects of our systems and communicate them with clients.
  • Experience in a specified architectural products sales role with optimal success.
  • Experience in reading and understanding architectural contract specifications and drawings, and contract negotiations.
  • Experience in coordinating with estimators in the generation of quotes and estimates to ensure compliance with contract scope and client requirements.
  • Experience in scheduling and conducting web-based sales conference calls.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Attention to detail and organizational detail is a must.
  • Highly motivated, eager and energized.

 

Compensation will be based on salary and commission. This position includes our benefits program - including health plan (employee premium paid by the company), profit sharing, and 401(k).
