All four walls of this residential tennis court are clad with EXTECH's LIGHTWALL 16mm Standing Seam polycarbonate panels. The polycarbonate panels not only deliver soft, diffused daylighting for comfortable and easy athletic recreation, but they also provide high-impact resistance and robust insulation. The translucent panels also provide natural daylighting, which helps the residence cut down on energy costs.
In some areas, the panels are 38 ft. long. To create a facade this long, EXTECH fabricated articulated clips which were designed to accommodate thermal expansion.
The added bonus of this application is its illuminated glow at night, which pleased the building owner.
