Rosa Parks Transit Center Project Details

This was a large bus shelter in Detroit. EXTECH's role was to design and fabricate a cellular polycarbonate system to cover and protect the tops of the curved and tapered trusses.
The project turned out to be a bigger challenge than anticipated because the dimensional tolerances of the steelwork for the trusses were far beyond industry standards. EXTECH adapted our SKYSHADE polycarbonate canopy system to allow for large discrepancies in the steelwork.
We also voluntarily sent a mockup to the jobsite showing the installers how the components are assembled.
